Day by Day Itinerary

- Assmeble at Cochin Domestic Terminal
- Board flight to Hubli Airport. Upon arrival transfer to Hampi ( approx 5hrs ). The road journey from Hubli Airport to Hampi, spanning approximately 150-168 km, offers a captivating experience through the heart of Karnataka’s countryside.
- As you travel, you’ll witness a transition in landscapes, from the more developed areas around Hubli to the unique, boulder-strewn terrain that characterizes Hampi.

- Early morning after breakfast proceed for Hampi sightseeing. Vijaya Vittala Temple: A 15th-century architectural marvel in Hampi, dedicated to Lord Vittala (an incarnation of Vishnu). It’s famous for its musical pillars, which produce distinct notes when tapped, and the iconic stone chariot. The temple showcases intricate Dravidian architecture and carvings, reflecting the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire.
- Virupaksha Temple: A 7th-century living temple in Hampi, dedicated to Lord Shiva (as Virupaksha). It is the main pilgrimage center and features a towering 50-meter eastern gopuram (gateway) adorned with hundreds of Hindu deities. The temple’s Ranga Mandapa has 38 majestic pillars and a ceiling painted with epic scenes, showcasing continuous worship for over a thousand years.
- Narasimha Swamy Temple in Hamp,The Ugra Narasimha Temple in Hampi features the largest monolithic statue in the town, a 6.7-meter-tall carving from a single boulder. Built in 1528, it depicts Lord Narasimha in his fierce form, seated on the coils of a seven-headed serpent. Originally, a smaller figure of Goddess Lakshmi was on his lap, but it was largely destroyed during the 1565 raid on the Vijayanagara Empire, leaving only a part of her hand visible today. This impressive sculpture is a significant example of Vijayanagara artistry.
- The Lotus Mahal in Hampi is a unique Indo-Islamic palace, resembling an open lotus, used by royal women. It’s notable for surviving the Hampi invasion largely intact.

These 7th and 8th-century temples, built by the Early Chalukya Dynasty, are situated on the banks of the Malaprabha River and are celebrated for their intricate carvings and historical significance.
- Then The Badami Caves are a complex of four rock-cut cave temples in Badami, Karnataka, also dating from the 6th century. These caves are important examples of Indian rock-cut architecture, particularly the Badami Chalukya style. They feature elaborate carvings and frescoes dedicated to Hinduism and Jainism, with prominent sculptures like the dancing Shiva as Nataraja in Cave 1. The caves overlook the Agastya Theertha Lake and are part of a region considered a cradle of temple architecture that influenced later Hindu temples in India.
