Its capital, Astana (formerly Nur-Sultan), is known for futuristic architecture, while Almaty remains its cultural hub. The country has a rich history, influenced by nomadic traditions and the Silk Road. Kazakhstan gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and has since become a regional powerhouse, particularly in energy, with vast oil, gas, and mineral reserves. It is a multi-ethnic nation with a strong cultural heritage. Kazakhstan’s horses, particularly the hardy Akhal-Teke and Kazakh breeds, are integral to the country’s nomadic heritage. Known for endurance and adaptability, they have played a key role in transportation and culture.

Day by Day Itinerary

Meet your Malayali tour manager from Santamonica at Cochin Airport.
Board your flight to Abu Dhabi, followed by a short transit, arrive in Almaty at 2:10 PM.
Upon arrival, clear immigration and collect your baggage.
Proceed to Hotel, Check in and you’ll have the opportunity to freshen up and rest.

The first stop of the tour is Shymbulak ski resort. We take a Cable Car to the top of the mountain located at an altitude of 2230 meters above sea level. It is very popular for its mild climate, large quantity of sunny days and snow through the winter and remarkable scenery of mountain ranges. You will pass through the Meadow Gorge, in the wonderful mountains of Trans-Ili Ala-Tau After lunch, proceed for a guided city tour of Almaty

Head to Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, a historical park dedicated to soldiers from Kazakhstan who fought in WWII. In the park, you’ll find Zenkov Cathedral, a colorful wooden structure, and one of the tallest wooden buildings in the world. Visit the vibrant Green Bazaar , Evening drive back to hotel after dinner.

Depart for an exhilarating day trip into nature, beginning with Charyn Canyon. Often called the “Grand Canyon of Kazakhstan”, it offers awe-inspiring rock formations and colourful landscapes. A walk along the canyon will allow you to explore its striking features, including the famous Valley of Castles.
Continue the journey to Kolsay Lake, an alpine lakes set amidst the rugged beauty of the Tian Shan mountains. You’ll have time enjoy the lake and take photos of the serene water and surrounding forests. Head back toward the city in the evening.
You’ll arrive back at your hotel after a hearty dinner, with time to relax before a good night sleep ahead.

Explore Alatau Natural Park’s majestic alpine landscapes, crystal-clear rivers, and diverse wildlife a serene escape into Kazakhstan’s pristine wilderness.
Lunch at restaurant, Proceed to Kok-Tobe. It is a mountain which is the highest point of Almaty.
There is a popular recreation area on top of the mountain.
The mountain’s height is 1100 meters above sea level. Kok-Tobe is one of the main landmarks in the city, and it is popular among visitors and tourists to Almaty.
You’ll arrive back at your hotel after a hearty dinner.

Today you will have some free time to roam around or go for shopping in the city of Almaty
After collecting packed lunch, transfer to Almaty International Airport for our return flight.
Reach back to Kochi with a suitcase full of sweet memories
