Day by Day Itinerary
- Assemble at Cochin domestic terminal, flight to Chennai departs at 9:35 am.
- Upon arrival, proceed for sightseeing covering Fort St. George (it was the first English (later British) fortress in India. The construction of the fort provided the impetus for further settlements and trading activity in what was originally an uninhabited land. Thus, it is a feasible contention to say that the city (formerly named Madras) evolved around the fortress. The fort currently houses the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly and
other official buildings. - And drive past Marina. Later, drive to the hotel and check in. Have lunch at the hotel.
- Post lunch and fresh up evening visit Kapaleeshwara Temple (According to the Puranas, Parvati worshipped her husband Shiva in the form of a peahen (mayil in Tamil), giving
the vernacular name Mylai (Mayilai) to the area that developed around the temple. Shiva is worshipped as Kapaleeshwarar and is represented by the lingam. Parvati is worshipped as Karpagambal (goddess of the wish-yielding tree). - Post sightseeing, back to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Chennai.

- After breakfast check out from the hotel & Proceed to Mahabalipuram, Enroute visit Tiger caves (The cave temple is located 4.8 km (3.0 mi) away from Mahabalipuram, a world heritage site for the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram.
- The rock cut shrine has a flight of steps. It has a small portico flanked by two pilasters which are supported by rampant tigers.
- All around the entrance, there are images of tigers, leading to the name of Tiger cave.
- There are two other cells that have elephant heads carved beneath them.
- Based on the architectural style, the cave is associated with Rajasimha Narasimhavaram II 690-728) Shore Temple, Pancha Pandava Rathas, Arjuna’s Peanance and Krishna’s Butterball.
- Post Lunch drive to Pondicherry, check in at hotel and relax. Evening visit Ganesh Temple.

- After breakfast, proceed for half day sightseeing in Pondicherry, starting with Aurobindo ashram (The ashram grew out of a small community of disciples who had gathered around Sri Aurobindo after he retired from politics and settled in Pondicherry in 1910.
- On 24 November 1926, after a major spiritual realization, Sri Aurobindo withdrew from public view in order to continue his spiritual work.
- At this time he handed over the full responsibility for the inner and outer lives of the sadhaks (spiritual aspirants) and the ashram to his spiritual collaborator, “The Mother or La Mère”, earlier known as Mirra Alfassa), cover church of sacred hearts of Jesus (is an oriental specimen of Gothic Revival architecture.
- It contains rare stained glass panels depicting events from the life of Christ and saints of the Catholic Church.
- In recent years it has become one of the famous pilgrimage spots for Christians).
- Later in the evening, visit the beach and French Colonies. Return back to the hotel

- After breakfast check out from the hotel & proceed to Chennai – Enroute visit Kanchipuram.
- Visit Kamakshi Amman temple (It may have been founded in the 5th–8th century CE by the Pallava kings, whose capital was in Kanchipuram.
- It may also have been built by the Cholas in the 14th century, and legend also says it was built as recent as 1783.
- The temple is one of the most important centers of Shaktism in the state of Tamil Nadu.
- The temple is dedicated mainly to Kamakshi, but also has a shrine for Vishnu, in his form of Varaha.
- Kamakshi is worshipped in the shrine in five forms.
- The temple is also the center for the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham) and Kailashnath temple (The Kailasanathar temple is notable for its intricately carved galaxy of Hindu art in the late 7th– and early 8th-century Tamil tradition.
- These largely relate to Shaivism, yet also include significant number of themes from Vaishnavism, Shaktism and Vedic deities.
- The temple is also notable for one of the early and best specimens of Hindu mural art in Tamil Nadu.)
- Later drive to Chennai airport for departure.
