Georgia, a crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, is a country rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. Nestled between the Black Sea and the Caucasus Mountains, it is home to dramatic landscapes ranging from snow-capped peaks and deep gorges to fertile valleys and a scenic coastline. Georgia is known for ancient landmarks such as the cave city of Uplistsikhe, the medieval churches of Mtskheta, and the historic old town of Tbilisi, its capital. The Georgian language, with its unique alphabet, reflects the country’s distinct cultural identity. Politically, Georgia is a republic with a strong emphasis on national independence and regional cooperation. Renowned for its hospitality, traditional polyphonic music, and one of the world’s oldest wine-making traditions, Georgia blends ancient heritage with a modern, dynamic society.
